Lending ledger
Track what you've lent and to whom — with a handshake, not a spreadsheet.
You lent the neighbor your pressure washer. Sherpsy remembers. If they're on Sherpsy too, they can accept the item into their borrowed list — a two-sided record that survives "I thought I gave that back."

A handshake, not a claim
Nothing lands in someone else's account without their explicit accept. That's the whole point — and it's also the anti-abuse control. A stranger can't spam items into your dashboard.
Privacy by construction
When a loan is mirrored to a borrower, they see the item, the due date, and your name — never your purchase price, serial number, or private notes. That boundary is enforced by the database, not by hopeful UI.
One tap to close it out
Mark it returned and the item quietly leaves both dashboards. Lend an untracked shovel or a tracked drill — either works.
Contacts are matched by a one-way hash. Your address book never leaves your device.
